Ethan - Pokémon Generations (2016)

A young boy from NewBark Town, Ethan was a Pokémon trainer working towards completing the Johto gym challenge, as well as the regional Pokedex gifted to him by Professor Samuel Oak.
Like many trainers in Johto, he owned a Pokewatch, which he used as his main form of wireless communication.

Throughout his adventure, he visited many unique locations and caught a considerable collection of Pokémon.

While in Mahogany Town preparing to face the ice gym leader Pryce, he met with the Elite Four Champion Lance, who convinced the young trainer to help him investigate an unusual radio signal that was being broadcast from the nearby Souvenir Shop.

Discovering that it was a front for an underground Team Rocket hideout, the pair quickly stormed the facility, battling their way through the criminal syndicate. While Lance fought Admin Petrel, he acted as a distraction to draw out the other grunts in a coordinated attack. His actions helped to dismantle their operation and ensure that the radio machine could never work again.

Blue - Pokémon Generations (2016)

The grandson of Professor Samuel Oak, Blue was a trainer from Pallet Town who shared a friendly rivalry with his neighbour Red. Although he had been given a Pokedex to help with Oak's research, he chose to instead set his sights on becoming the world's greatest Pokémon Master, gathering the eight badges needed to qualify for the Pokémon League.

Despite his love for Oak, he did not like to live in his shadow, often growing angry whenever he was compared to his grandfather.

Amassing a powerful team, he was able to defeat the Elite Four, earning the title of Pokémon League Champion. However, before long, his reign was soon challenged by Red once again.

Red - Pokémon Generations (2016)

A young boy from the Kanto Region's Pallet Town, Red travelled across the world as a Pokémon trainer, using each battle to become stronger.

After receiving a Bulbasaur from Professor Samuel Oak, he explored the Viridian City, where he came across a Pikachu. Catching the electric mouse, he soon formed a solid friendship with his new teammate, becoming a staple member of his team.

Over the next several months, Red would gather the eight Kanto Gyms, going on to challenge fellow Pallet Town prodigy Blue for the title of the Kanto League Champion. As well as this, his actions of heroism against the criminal organisation Team Rocket inadvertently led to the collapse of the group for several years, with their leader Giovanni leaving for the Johto region to train.

Among the regions that Red and Pikachu explored together were Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos. As they prepared for overcoming new adventures, they encountered numerous Pokemon of myth and legend.

The Arctic Freedom Fighters - Sonic the Hedgehog: The Complete Sonic Comic Encyclopedia (2012)

Formed during the First Robotnik War by Guntiver, the Arctic Freedom Fighters were initially a group of activists looking to protect the icy regions of Mobius from coming to harm. However, following an increase in aggression from the Eggman Empire, they joined the Freedom Fighters in taking a more militaristic approach to dealing with Robotnik. This caused a schism within the group, with some members preferring a more diplomatic and pacifistic approach, and others favouring more extreme methods of resistance.

This split in the Arctic Freedom Fighters would last for many years until the Second Robotnik War, where the team put aside their differences to bring about the end of the conflict once and for all.

Mello - Sonic the Hedgehog: The Complete Sonic Comic Encyclopedia (2012)

A childhood friend of Charmy, Mello was a loyal confidant to the crown prince, not revealing where he had gone after abdicating the Golden Hive Colony.

Visiting Charmy on Angel Island, the pair went to the Happyland Amusement Park, only to ingest a drug-laced chilli dog sauce.

Succumbing to the substance, Mello quickly died.

Shortly after, a grieving Charmy returned home with his body, vowing to rule the Colony in his honour.

Lady Saffron - Sonic the Hedgehog: The Complete Sonic Comic Encyclopedia (2012)

Betrothed to Prince Charmy of the Golden Hive Colony in her youth, Lady Saffron joined The Chaotix with her fiancee after the fall of the Colony to the Eggman Empire. Now living in Knothole City, she aided in the fight to free Mobius from Dr Robotnik.

During the siege of Knothole, she and Charmy were taken captive by Robotnik's forces.

Freed with the aid of Sonic, Saffron became one of Charmy's primary carers following his exposure to Egg Grapes, helping him try and cope with his memory loss.

Prince Charmy - Sonic the Hedgehog: The Complete Sonic Comic Encyclopedia (2012)

Crown Prince of the Golden Hive Colony, Prince Charmy fled from his home to Angel Island, fearing his duties and responsibilities to his people. Confiding his whereabouts only with his friend Mello, he began living a more carefree life.

Over the next few months, he befriended several Mobians, eventually joining forces with them as a member of the Chaotix.

However soon after, while at the Happy Land Amusement Park, Charmy and Mello were poisoned by Mobian Underworld. Although he survived and recovered from the incident, Mello did not, dying from an overdose.

Heartbroken over the loss of his friend, he returned to the Colony, agreeing to serve as ruler once again. He also became a lot closer with Lady Saffron, officially announcing their engagement.

After the Eggman Empire launched an invasion on the Colony, Charmy fled to Knothole City, taking up arms once again with the Chaotix.

He was eventually taken prisoner by Dr Robotnik when the Empire took Knothole, who used him as a guinea pig to test the Egg Grape. Although briefly exposed to the device, his mind was permanently altered, erasing most of his memories. Despite this, he continued to fight alongside Saffron and Espio, the latter acting as his carers.

Giovanni - Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver (2009)

The boss of Team Rocket, Giovanni was a businessman and gym leader of the Viridian City. The father of Silver, he trained his son to rely on strength and brute force in Pokémon battles, as well as instilling in him the notion that Pokémon are mere tools for profit.

Confronted by Silver about his decision to leave the Kanto region, he calmly replied that the only way he could make himself stronger is to accept his defeat and move forward. Renouncing his leadership of Team Rocket because of his recent failures, he vowed to return with a new team of followers to make up for the operations foiled by Red and Leaf. Musing that Team Rocket was only as powerful as the potential of their operatives, Giovanni added that it was his knowledge of how organisations run, as well as his charisma, that made him so successful.

Hearing Team Rocket’s radio broadcast calling for his return to their ranks, Giovanni prepared to head to Goldenrod City, only to be confronted by Ethan and Lyra at the Tohjo Falls. Recognising a similarity between them and Red & Leaf, he angrily challenged them to a battle, snapping that the mistakes of three years ago would not be repeated.

Infuriated by the loss, he began to question whether he had wasted in time, storming off.

Zinzolin - Pokémon Generations (2016)

Appointed by Ghetsis as one of the Seven Sages of Team Plasma, Zinzolin believed in the organisation's goal to unite Unova under the rulership of N: an unknowing puppet monarch to his adopted father. He lived by the philosophy that there could only be one sovereignty on Earth, just as there could only be one sun in the sky.

Joining the other admins at N's Castle, he watched as Plasma Grunts battled against the Unova Gym Leaders.

Despite the fall of the original Team Plasma two years earlier, Zinzolin continued to work for Ghetsis to form a brand-new version of the organisation, acting as the public leader alongside the scientist Colress.

Sent to Opelucid City to steal the DNA Splicers, he gleefully commanded a full-scale attack from the rooftops. Spotting Drayden fighting below, he sent his Cryogonal and Weavile into battle.

Impressed by the pair's resilience, he ordered Corlass to fire the Kyurem Cannon on the populace. Laughing at the weapon's results, he expressed his joy at feeling the cold, musing that it made him feel alive.

Cornering Drayden, Zinzolin demanded that the gym leader surrender the Splicers, threatening to freeze the rest of the town if he did not comply with Team Plasma's demands. Defeating Drayden, he claimed the devices for himself, leaving the man to freeze in the ruins of the frosted wasteland.

DNA Splicers - Pokémon Generations (2016)

A device that could merge the genetic material of compatible Pokémon, the DNA Splicers were in the possession of the Opelucid City Gym Leader Drayden.

Sort after by the second incarnation of Team Plasma, the machine was stolen by a strike team lead by Zinzolin.

Handing the Splicers over to Ghetsis, they were used to fuse N's Reshiram with Kyurem when the young trainer confronted his adopted father at the Giant Chasm, resulting in the rise of White Kyurem.

The Striaton Restaurant - Pokémon Black and White 2 (2012)

Once the Striaton City Gym, the Striaton Restaurant was headed by the former leaders Cilan, Cress and Chili after they officially quit as Unova Gym leaders.

As well as serving food, the restaurant also hosted Pokemon battles between the waitstaff and clients.

The Striaton City Gym - Pokémon Black & White (2010)

The first of the eight Unova Gyms, the Striaton City Gym was run by the triplets Chili, Cress, and Cilan, who would test trainers to see if they were worthy of competing against the Pokémon League. Unlike many other gyms in the region, they did not specialise in a specific type of Pokémon. Instead, the brothers would use their knowledge of type advantage to challenge opponents. As a symbol of defeating the gym, trainers were awarded the Trio Badge and the brothers' favourite TM; number 83 Work Up.

In addition to Pokémon battles, the Gym was also a fine dining restaurant, which was staffed by the three brothers and their most trusted gym trainers Maxwell and Tia.

The gym was visited by Hilbert and Hilda during their quest to become the Unova League Champion. After easily defeating Cilan and Cress, the pair won their gym badge and headed to Nacrene City.

Cress - Pokémon Black & White (2010)

Working as a waiter at the inhouse Striaton Gym restaurant, Cress was one of the three leaders of the Gym, alongside his brother's Cilan and Cress. Specialising in water Pokemon, he would challenge potential trainers to determine whether they were ready to compete in Unova’s Pokemon League.

Highly proud of his Panpour, he believed that he was the strongest of the triplets.

Cress was challenged to a gym battle by Hilda, who overpowered his team with her Pansage.

Although expressing incredulity at his loss, he handed over the Trio Badge and Work Up, wishing them luck with the next stage of their quest.

Despite receiving a message from Bianca to help aid an all-out assault on Team Plasma’s Castle, he was unable to arrive in time.

The Striaton Triplets - Pokémon Black & White (2010)

Leading the Striaton City gym when not working as waiters, Cress, Chili, and Cilan were the keepers of the Trio Badge and tested any trainers wanting to take on the Pokémon League.

They had a firm understanding of Pokémon type match-ups, exploiting their opponents' weaknesses as a team. They did this by specifically choosing their challengers based on the types they specialised in; Cress and Water, Chili and Fire, Cilan and Grass.

The triplets were often seen studying at the Striaton Trainer School.

They were challenged to a battle by Hilbert and Hilda, who went up against Cilan and Cress respectively. Defeated by the pair, they awarded them with the official badge, as well as their favourite Technical Move, TM 83, Work Up.

Although the brothers received word from Bianca that the other gym leaders were fighting Team Plasma, they did reach N’s Palace in time.

Chili - Pokémon Black & White (2010)

The most confident and hot-tempered of the Striaton City siblings, Chili was one of the three local Gym leaders, utilising fire type Pokémon in challenges.

As well as this, he served as a waiter at the gym’s in-house restaurant.

Nicknamed “the Scorcher”, he had a special bond with his Pansear.

He watched as his brothers both lost to Hilbert and Hilda.

Later, upon receiving word that gym leaders were taking the fight to Team Plasma and their new king, Chili and his brothers set off for N’s Castle, only to arrive too late.

Cilan - Pokémon Black & White (2010)

One of the three Straiton City triplets, Cilan was the joint head of the local Pokémon gym alongside his brothers Chili and Cress. Specialising in grass Pokémon, he was fully aware that they were novices amongst the other Unova gym leaders and needed to work on their abilities.

He served as a waiter when not battling.

Meeting Hilbert and Hilda outside, he cordially greeted the pair and introduced himself to them as the leading gym leader. Casually asking them about their starter Pokémon, he warned the two trainers that they were about to face their biggest weaknesses and suggested that they train first.

After being deemed worthy by Clyde, Cilan faced off against Hilbert with his prized Pansage, but was easily defeated by the latter’s Pansear. Impressed by the victory, he gave him a Trio Badge and the brother’s favourite TM as a sign of their victory.

The triplets were unable to arrive in time to help aid the gym leaders in their fight against Team Plasma.

The Rainbow Wing - Pokémon Generations (2016)

An artefact of exceptional endowment, the Rainbow Wing was a single feather belonging to the legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh, which fell to earth at the "Burned Tower", a sight of historical prominence for the Rainbow Pokémon; where they resurrected three nameless Pokémon to become Suicune, Entei, and Raikou.

On the day it emerged, the young trainer Eusine had just met Suicune. Leaving to track down the great beast, he was so distracted by their presence that he did not notice the wing's arrival.

This appearance was a sign that suggested truth in the legends of "The Burned Tower" and Ecruteak City; that Ho-Oh and the Legendary Beasts would return to the Johto region when humanity came to trust the trio and not see them as abominations.

"The Burned Tower" - Pokémon Generations (2016)

Formerly known as the Brass Tower, "The Burned Tower" was considered by many to be a valuable source of historical and mythical knowledge within Ecruteak City.

Said to be the sight of the rebirth for Entei, Suicune, and, Raikou, it was suggested that the Legendary Beast trio resided in the basement.

After researching the stories surrounding the Burned Tower, Eusine went to investigate the ruins in search of Suicune. Finding himself momentarily face to face with the great beast, he continued his quest after the latter disappeared.

However, as he left, a Rainbow Wing drifted out of the sky and landed unnoticed on the ground.

The Brass Tower - Pokémon Generations (2016)

A large wooden structure of great renown, the Brass Tower was one of two highly respectable, well-loved and cherished locations in the whole of Ecruteak City, before the great fire that reduced the building to ruins.

One stormy evening, the building was hit by a bolt of lightning that set the entire edifice ablaze. While people watched on outside in horror, three Pokémon struggled through the collapsing detritus, only to die before they could make it out of the flames. Suddenly, a downpour soaked the smouldering ruins and extinguished the fire, preventing the rest of the tower from collapsing in on itself.

Surveying the ruins, Ho-Oh resurrected the three nameless Pokémon into the Legendary Beasts of Johto, before hastily departing from the enraged and terrified citizens.

In modern times, the remains earned the nickname the "Burned Tower"

The Nameless Trio - Pokémon Generations (2016)

A trio of unnamed Pokémon living in Ecruteak City, they were the subject of legend in the Johto region and said to be the origins of the region's Legendary Beasts.

Caught in a devastating fire that burned down one of the two great towers within the settlement, the three were unable to escape the great blaze and quickly perished in flame, smoke, and debris.

Moved by their senseless deaths, Ho-Oh used their power to resurrect these Pokémon, transforming them into three elemental representations to forever symbolise the destruction of the towers; Raikou, the thunderbolt that struck and enkindled the wooden tower, Entei, the fire that killed them, and Suicune, the rain that put out the flames.

Keldeo Resolute Form - Pokémon Black and White 2 (2012)

Three years after being adopted by Hilda and Hilbert, Keldeo returned to the Pokémon rangers who cared for them. Seeing how happy they had been, they decided to find them more trainers, eventually settling on Nate and Rose.

Arriving at Pledge Grove, Keldeo grew excited at the prospect of being close to where the Swords of Justice first formed and swore the oath to protect both humanity and Pokémon of Unova.

Overcome with powerful energy, they soon remembered how to perform Sacred Sword, transforming their horn into a blade-like weapon. Imbued with the essence of Terrakion, Virizion, and Cobalion, Kedleo's form began to alter and change, making them more resolute.

Now able to unleash their true potential, they were believed to be the most powerful of Unova's protective quartet.

Keldeo - Pokémon Black & White (2010)

Once living in the Moors of Iccirus during a time of war in Unova, the young Keldeo was separated from their parents during a forest fire. While wandering around the woods in despair, they were taken in by Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion who raised them as their own.

Training and honing their skills, Keldeo very soon developed a hidden power that surpassed their mentor. It was said that during combat, they primarily used their legs for heavy attacks.

As well as this, they could glide across rivers and oceans at great speeds, often appearing before humans at the most beautiful of waterfronts. However, soon after, he disappeared from the group and was not seen again for many years. Many believe they went off to seek adventures on their own, making themself stronger with intense battles; something which is noted with the development of their horn.

Found by Pokémon Rangers in the wilds of Unova, Keldeo befriended the humans and lived alongside them. Wanting them to explore the region and grow alongside Pokémon trainers, they were gifted to Hilbert and Hilda.

After the two trainers assembled the Swords of Justice, they returned to the Moor of Icirrus. Whilst Keldeo cantered around the grassland, an elderly gentleman appeared and explained their history. Once finishing the tale, he watched in delight as the trio taught the Colt Pokémon the unique move Sacred Sword.

Genesect - Pokémon Black/White & Black and White 2 (2010-12)

Dating back approximately 300 million years, Genesect was said to be one of the most powerful and feared predators of the era. Although they were eventually wiped out along with many other species of Pokémon during a mass extinction, some of their DNA was preserved in fossils.
Some of these remains were discovered by Team Plasma, who extracted and manipulated their genetic structure to revive Genesect. Wanting to create a truly unstoppable creature, they bound the Pokémon to a steel suit of armour and outfitted it with a specialised laser cannon that could fire four different elemental beams at will.

However, before any more Genesect could be manufactured, N demanded that Team Plasma shut down the project and promise to never experiment on living Pokémon again.

Genesect eventually managed to escape from his captors and fled, whereupon they were eventually discovered by Pokémon Rangers. After some time in their custody, the rangers decided to find them a loving and caring owner. They soon chose the young trainers Nate and Rosa.

With the Paliozaic Pokémon in their party, Rose and Nate inadvertently met Genesect's creator while inspecting a seemingly abandoned laboratory on route 17. The scientist, Dudley, ultimately gave the pair several weapon drives, expressing his deepest regret for turning Genesect into a tool and wishing the trainers luck in giving them a new home.

P2 Laboratory - Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 (2012)

Built on an island to the west of mainland Unova, on route 17, the P2 Laboratory was once a Pokémon research facility for Team Plasma.

Along with Dudley, several scientists working for the organisation experimented on fossils to revive ancient Pokémon and turn them into weapons. Their research eventually led to the creation of Genesect; a reanimated bug Pokémon ensconced in a suit of armour and equipped with a laser cannon. Wanting to create an army of Genesects with different abilities, they also developed several drives that could change what elements their weapon systems utilised.

However, the laboratory was eventually condemned and closed on the orders of N due to the nature of their experiments on living beings, forcing the team to abandon the island.

Despite this, Dudley continued the project until Genesect's eventual escape.

The lab was located by Rosa and Nate following the second fall of Team Plasma. While investigating the island, they came across Dudley, who, after losing a Pokémon battle with the pair, decided to depart from the facility once and for all and finally put the Genesect project to rest.

The pair also recovered a Dubious Disc, which they used to evolve their Porygon 2 into a Porygon-Z.

"Scientist" Dudley - Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 (2012)

A skilled specialist in the fields of genetics and computer science, Dudley worked for Team Plasma.

Operating out of a laboratory on a small coastal island, he helped conduct experiments on fossil Pokémon, hoping to revive and weaponise these creatures to aid the group's conquest of Unova. These experiments eventually led to the creation of Genesect.

When Dudley proudly showcased his work to N, he was angered by the boy's beliefs that scientific enhancements were both harmful and destructive to Pokémon, as well as his decision to shut down the project for good. Despite this, he claimed the research for himself and continued to work on the project.

After the fall of the new Team Plasma, he was visited by Nate and Rose while working in the abandoned lab. He remained dismissive of the children, only for his attitude to change upon learning that they had managed to obtain Genesect. Challenging them to a battle, his team of Klink and Klank was quickly defeated.

Lamenting the loss of his greatest creation, he began to question his decision to create Genesect in the first place. Concluding that he had no right to turn Pokémon into tools, Dudley surrendered the Shock, Douse, Chill and Burn Drives to the two heroes. He went on to explain the device's capability to alter the effect of Gnesect's signature move Techno Blast.

Petrel's Weezing - Pokémon Generations (2016)

The fully evolved Poison Gas Pokémon, Weezing was caught and trained by the Team Rocket Executive Petrel.

They fought against Lance's Dragonite during the infiltration of the Mahogany Town Rocket Headquarters, though their attack did not even phase the Dragon. The fight ended in defeat, with Weezing getting knocked unconscious by a powerful thunderbolt that struck both them and their trainer.

Monday, 9 March 2020

Petrel - Pokémon Generations (2016)

One of the four Team Rocket Executives overseeing missions in Team Rocket's Johto operations during the absence of Giovanni, Petrel remained at the criminal organisation's main base beneath Mahogony Town, where he took charge of setting up their Radio Wave Generator.

Suspecting that Lance was using Ethan as a distraction to draw out the Rocket Grunts, he waited for the Elite Four Champion in the control room. Facing the intruder in battle, Petrel sent out his Weezing, only for it to be defeated by Dragonite's thunderbolt. Getting caught in the crossfire, he was mildly shocked, forcing him to his knees.

Although unwilling at first to admit defeat, he was quickly intimidated by the Dragon Pokémon, making a hasty retreat to the exit. However, before he could flee the room, he was cornered by several enraged Electrode.

Hilbert's Zekrom - Pokémon Generations (2016)

One-third of the mythical dragon trinity of Unova, the Deep Black Pokémon Reshiram was a duel type able to channel the energies of both draconic and electrical bursts. The subject of many legends, they were said to only appear to those who have strong ideals and the will to fight for them.

In recent years, they chose the young trainer Hilbert as their rider.

Before White Kyurem could kill N at the Giant Chasm, Zekrom and Hilbert intervened to save their friend, countering the incoming ice burn with a thunderbolt. They prepared to duel the tortured Boundary Pokémon and separate the forcibly imprisoned Reshiram from their foe's body.

N's Reshiram - Pokémon Generations (2016)

Listed as the Vast White Pokémon, Reshiram was one of three legendary dragons in the Unova region, making up the Tao trinity. A being of ice and draconic magic, their body was said to have been destroyed in battle many years ago and sealed in the Light Stone. Remaining petrified, it was said that only a hero with a firm belief in truth could awaken them from their slumber.

Ultimately released by the trainer N, Reshiram became his faithful partner, able to communicate with one another.

Sensing that Kyurem's power was being exploited and abused, they carried N to the Great Chasm, standing alongside the former Team Plasma monarch as he attempted to end the machinations of his adopted father Ghetsis.

Neutralising Kyurem's blizzard with a single blast, he was forced to take to the skies after Ghetsis activated the DNA Splicers. However, despite their best efforts, they were struck by one of Kyurem's energy blasts and reverted into the Light Stone. They were quickly absorbed into Kyurem's body, bonding the two and transforming them into White Kyurem.

Although incapacitated within White Kyurem's body, Reshiram was still able to call out to N, reassuring his friend that the process could be reversed.

The Light Stone - Pokémon Generations (2016)

An artefact of great reverence, the Light Stone was formed when the body of the legendary dragon Reshiram broke down and calcified. Containing the essence of the deity, it was said that they could only be restored when a hero embodying the desire for the truth emerges.

After Reshiram was exposed to the power of the DNA Splicer, they were regressed back into the Light Stone, leaving them vulnerable to be merged with Kyurem and transform the Boundary Pokémon into one of its two ultimate forms; White Kyurem.

White Kyurem - Pokémon Generations (2016)

Through DNA manipulation and splicing technology, the Boundary Pokémon Kyurem could alter its form and abilities when exposed to compatible genetic material from fellow members of the Tao trinity.

Using stolen DNA Splicers from the Opelucid City Gym leader Drayden, Ghetsis merged Kyurem and Reshiram - reverted back to the Light Stone - into White Kyurem.

Turning on N, they attempted to kill the young trainer with an Ice Burn, only for the attack to be countered by a thunderbolt from Zekrom.

Sensing that the two could be separated from one another, N and Hilbert prepared to use the Deep Black Pokémon to free the confined Reshiram.

Kyurem - Pokémon Generations (2016)

Known as the Boundary Pokémon, Kyurem was a legendary Dragon and Ice-type Pokémon residing in the Unova region. They were part of the Tao trio alongside Reshiram and Zekrom and with the intervention of genetic investigations, can bond together through a process called Absofusion to construct two new beings; Black and White Kuyrem.

After Team Plasma acquired knowledge of their existence, Kyurem was hunted down and captured by the criminal organisation. Suspended in a glass tank, they were immersed in a chemical solution and used as a power source for a newly generated super-weapon.

Stored aboard Plasma's Frigate, they were experimented upon by Corless, who wanted to determine the dragon's capabilities. As part of this analysis, he was forced to use his powers to freeze Opelucid City. After being subjected to severe electrical stimulation, the cannon immitted a second blast, completely decimating the city.

With Corless satisfied that they were completely loyal, Kyurem was returned to Ghetsis, who took him to the Giant Chasm to complete the final part of Team Plasma's plot; freeze Unova and rule over the remains.

However, their blizzard was interrupted by the arrival of N and Reshiram, driving the angered leader to use DNA Splicers to combine both Kyurem and Reshiram together to create White Kyurem.

The Kyurem Cannon - Pokémon Generations (2016)

Designed by Colress, the Kyurem Cannon was an armament that harnessed the power of the conquered Boundary Pokémon, unleashing their eminent cryogenic attacks as its own.

Fitted onto Team Plasma's Frigate, it was utilised by the criminal organisation to freeze Opelucid City, while Zinzolin and his grunts launched an assault on the populace.

Bombarding the city from above, Colress pushed Kyurem beyond their limit, exponentially increasing the potential of the weapon and encasing the entire of Opelucid and its people in ice.

Burgh's Leavanny - Pokémon Generations (2016)

Captured and raised by the Castelia City Gym leader Burgh, Leavanny was a graceful and elegant Pokémon both in and out of combat. They were trained to employ both bug and grass attacks, as well as how to put on a performance. Mastering Burgh's mannerisms and movements, they could simulate his friend's style in perfect time; able to carry out pirouettes and bows.

Cutting their way through Team Plasma's Scolipede and Seismitoad with their leaf blade, Leavanny moved to Burgh's side, joining in with his trainer's sardonic obeisance.

Lenora - Pokémon Generations (2016)

The director of the Nacrene Museum, Lenora was an archaeologist and Pokémon trainer, rising through the ranks to become one of the eight gym leaders in the Unova region. She utilised normal type Pokémon and had a Herdier among her team.

Sending the loyal dog Pokémon ahead, she sarcastically apologised to Team Plasma for her part in stopping their scheme to take over Unova, before steering their attention to the other gym leaders.

Burgh - Pokémon Generations (2016)

The Castelia City Gym leader, Burgh was an artist and Pokémon enthusiast. He was passionate about bug Pokémon and shared a close relationship with his Leavanny. The bond between them was so strong that Leavanny had copied his trainer's physical movements and posture, able to move in sync with one another without instruction.

Joining forces with the other Unova Gym Leaders to fight Team Plasma at their palace, Burgh gave his opponents a mocking bow as he promised the Seven Sages that he would do all in his power to stop them.

Clay - Pokémon Generations (2016)

The renowned leader of the Driftveil City Gym, Clay primarily trained with ground type Pokémon, which he used in his battles with opponents.

After learning that Iris had gone off to stop Team Plasma and end the ascension of their King before N's rulership over Unova could be established, he decided to gather the rest of the Unova Gym Leaders and offer her reinforcements.

Taking her by surprise, he expressed his admiration at the young trainer's abilities and determination, adding that she needn't worry about fighting Team Plasma's forces as help was at hand.

With his fellow leaders assembled, Clay and the others joined the fray.

Iris - Pokémon Generations (2016)

Sharing the position of Opelucid's Gym Leader with Drayden, Iris was a young Pokémon trainer specialising in dragons.

Opposing the activities of Team Plasma, she learned about the criminal organisation's concealed dwelling deep beneath the Pokémon League and decided to check it out for herself.

Arriving at the scene during a storm, she witnessed in shock as N's Castle burst through the earth and formed itself around the League. Regaining her composure, she tasked Druddigon to destroy the nearest staircase, preventing the advancing Team Plasma Grunts from attacking her. Turning her attention to Giallo, she angrily told him that the grand and pompous speeches he and the rest of the Seven Sages made were merely hollow and meaningless words.

Fighting intensely alongside Druddigon, Iris did not realise until it was too late that she was completely defenceless against a triple Liepard sneak attack. Bracing herself for the assault, she was saved at the last moment by an Excadrill. Stunned by the timely arrival of the Subterrene Pokémon, her confusion was cleared by the appearance of their owner Clay. Complementing her skills as a trainer, the Driftveil Gym Leader added that they were not alone, motioning to the fellow Unova Gym Leader's and their Pokémon as they emerged from the shadows and fought back against the mass of Team Plasma Grunts before them.

Although she and the Leaders were outnumbered, she rushed the onslaught, clashing with the Grunts as the group tried to reach the Seven Sages and their King.

N's Castle - Pokémon Generations (2016)

Secretly developed and built beneath the Unova Pokémon League building, N's Castle was the base of operations for Team Plasma, housing vast numbers of their outfit.

Despite being kept hidden from public knowledge, the location was eventually discovered by Iris, who arrived just in time to see the palace erupt through the ground and surround the League. She watched in shock as the Seven Sages set into motion Ghetsis' plan to enslave all the region's Pokémon and install themselves as the ruling body.

However, before the scheme could be enacted in its entirety, the Unova Gym Leaders led an assault against the castle. Battling their way up the stairs, the Team Plasma Grunts did their best to defend their headquarters, only to be pushed back by the defiant charge.
